Steamer - Since you mention of the On3 Grandt Kit for #1006, I can tell you that I've been working off and on to make one of these kits into #1008. This takes some modifications to the roof, windows, and corners, and of course mounting the body on the frame "backwards", with the cupola over the B end, rather than the A end. I bought my kit second-hand, and it was without instructions. Well - having the real one to use as a modeling example - that hasn't been a problem.
