As Ed noted, building north to Head Tide is the current mainline project. There has been discussion and planning over the years of building south towards Wiscasset as the next big track project. This may happen but (as noted) there are a number of grade repairs and a bridge build on the northern expansion so Wiscasset will be a number of years away. The good news is that we already own over half a mile of grade going south from Sheepscot and it's in good condition so track construction would be fairly easy.
Tomorrow, the WW&F will host 50 - 60 local business leaders for the Wiscasset Area Chamber of Commerce meeting. Guests will see the progress that was made last week and updated plans for 2016 - '17.
