Great set of photos, Brendan! They really do a nice job conveying the extent of what was accomplished this weekend.
At the photo shoot on Thursday, Stewart indicated to me that the new stretch of track was the ruling grade on the entire original WW&F. Having walked down to the washout locations, it is not difficult to understand why the longer trains had to double the hill. I'm told that the grade is roughly 3%, but when you walk it, it sure seems steeper than that. Does anyone have a 2 ft. Shay for sale?
Great job by the entire crew this weekend. Looks like they got a ton of work done!
