Many thanks for all who answeared this thread, I'll refine my question, I'd like to know if & when SG third rail was extended to industries south of the wye, the info I have was that the perlite plant(s) came into existance in the late40's/early 50's, so did they extend the physical plant ( 3-rails ) to it all at once or was it piece meal, also when the branch was tore out in 41/42 did the R.R. have prior knowledge of the plants being built, seems that if they didn't know, they wouldn't have made that end of the wye that long, but who knows?
