Guys,

Take a look at the thread about this on the RyPN site. Particularly the post by Chris de Witt of the Nevada State RR Museum. He explains that the swaging of the firebox ends of the superheater flues is typical. He suggests that the webpage was poorly written and not reviewed by someone who knows the process.
