I took the attached photo in 1966 or 1967 while working on the Gunnison National Forest. Yes, Google Earth does show the stone bases for the tank. I think I was born 100 years too late. We can romanticize those early narrow gauge railroading days, but it was a hard life. I approximate that life for a short period as Conductor and No. 19 Fireman on the Sumpter Valley Railway. Enjoy the picture.
