Doug, the two diesels on the C&TS were originally on the OR&L, arriving in 1944, IIRC, and remained in service for the Honolulu switching operation after the OR&L main line was abandoned in 1947, working until 1972. They still carry their original OR&L road numbers. The four ALCO Mikes, Nos. 60, 70, 80 & 90, came to the OR&L in 1925 and '26 and were built to the same design as the K-28s, but had minor differences such as shorter tenders and were oil fired.. I've always wondered why the OR&L ordered them with two single-stage air pumps instead of one 8-1/2" cross-compound pump. -- Ed
