How about the good old DRGW?

While I know there are a lot of RGS fans here, I'm going to suggest such a train be run as DRGW. For two reasons. Purely personally, I happen to prefer DRGW. But secondly painting and lettering engines and cabooses is both a major effort and "patches" make a mess of the paint job. This is a problem just with switching between the flying Rio Grande and the old logo. Trying to accommodate RGS will just make it worse. Paint patches really show up in photographs and repainting an entire car is both expensive and soaks up a lot of labor better put into other projects. Plus the paint jobs don't have a chance to weather. Hopefully going forward there can be some kind of plan that minimizes such patch jobs. Relettering the tenders and cabs is a big enough job, but at least the railroad has that down to a reasonable routine that works pretty well.
