We've had the pleasure of riding the Black Hills Central two or three times and never once had it pulled by the mallet always the 108. We've found the BHC to be a first class operation in all ways. The last time we rode it a light rain began to fall just prior to leaving and when we got to Tin Mill Hill we got about half way up and she started slipping. Well the hoghead backed it down the hill and started back up and we made it. I guess you could say we got over on the folks that run the BHC that day because we got to ride that part of the trip three times twice on the way to Keystone and once on the way back to Hill City.
