I had a hard time understanding all of the negative comments on another site.

This locomotive has sat around in WA State for better than 50 years with little or no apparent work being done on it.

I feel that this was a good deal all around. The Snoqualmie folks, with some new blood, are making huge strides forward in several areas and the 108 will most certainly be used again in SD. With the exception of the configuration of the saddle tank, she is a match for the 110 with the same t.e. of 37,500 lbs.
