Hi Russ,
I was just trying to get an idea of how much snow-on-ground to anticipate. When I did the rotary run at White Pass, in April of 2011, there was no snow in Skagway at all, but 15-20 ft. of it up at White Pass. Snowshoes were a necessity. Just wondering what the snow pack looks like from Antonito west to Sublette.
As far as the forecast is concerned, I think whatever we have already for snow is all we are going to have. Even Cumbres Pass anticipates maybe an inch out of the current storm. After that, the weather will be sunny late in the week. Overnight temps in the 20s, highs during the day ranging from the 40s on Cumbres Pass to the low 60s in Antonito. I suspect something in between is what we would have on our trip.
