473, 498 & 497 Durango Roundhouse, August 1968. If I recall all 3 were dead. 473 was the spare Silverton engine that year. Later that fall it would star in "Butch Cassidy", then run light to Alamosa for shopping to return on the last train in December. 498 would depart Durango for the last time about 10 days after this was taken with the last eastbound revenue freight. 497 had not run since the previous December, and would never run again under D&RGW ownership.
