Re: DSNG Roundhouse fire

If I am remembering the story correctly, with the roundhouse already a gonner, the Durango Fire Department directed much/most of their water to the locomotives, in an effort to keep them as cool as possible and limit the damage. I do not recall reading whether they did this on their own or were given direction by D&SNG management. In either case, someone did a good job of critical thinking during a crisis.
