Some additional information on
NMLC Shay 7
Shipped by Lima 21 November, 1929. Ordered held at Pueblo, Co by Lima pending receipt of cash or an acceptable sales order. The s.o. wa purchased by Lima's west coast dealer Hofius Iron & Steel in Seattle, Wa. Released 2 Dec 1929, and arrived in Dolores, and placed in service 3 January 1930. NMLC later defaulted on the note, and Hofuis reposessed the locomotive, shipping it to their Seattle facility. on 24 Mar 1931. It sat there for about 10 years until Oregon Lumber purchased it, shipped to Baker City, and onward to the Oregon Lumber Company lines. Apparently, at that time OLC equipped it with a RUSHTON (cabbage) stack, their preference for their woodburning locomotives.

Anyone ever find any pictures of #7 on the New Mexico Lumber line. We've never located any photos of that part of the Shay's history.
