Another letter from Ogden: "The Union Pacific Railroad Company is now engaged in renumbering the cars used by the different roads belonging to the company. All cars on the main line are to be numbered with even numbers, and such
letters as U., T., C., etc., to designate the particular road they belong to." (Salt Lake Daily Tribune, 16 May 1880)
