That was the same trip I blazed through some guys front yard down the valley below Ophir to get up the the Ophir Low Line grade and drove out to where Butterfly trestle was...then had to figure out how to turn around on the grade. Thankfully I drove a Jeep CJ.
later that afternoon my luck ran out. A few years before I had driven the grade out to Pleasant Valley on Dallas Divide only to get chased out by a lightening storm. I headed back up the grade on this trip and found a very unfreindly rancher who had followed me up there and threatened me with being arrested for trespassing - even though the gates were unlocked and no signs were posted.
He had a gun in the rack of his pickup. I decided retreat was a superb plan.
