I would say that one can not very often depend upon numbers on component parts as they were frequently changed between cars and loco's for that matter. Remember that in 23 all the cars were rebuilt and that process amounted to stripping down the cars and making new cars out of the parts with a few new additions. Essentially they jacked up the car number and put a new car under it.
