You are correct it is the #104. I don't type too accuratly with my left hand.
Currently none of the freight cars are slated for restoration until funds are available. All would require complete wood replacement. many of the sills are crumbling and the bolts and tierods are rusting out.
As far as the poor decisions that museums make I don't know of any museum that has not made a "difficult" decision related to the preservation of a peticular piece and more often than not the decisions are made for political reasons and everything looses.
