When the D&S started up in 1981, Bradshaw bought up just about every peice of NG rolling stock he could find. My guess is the C&TS Commission was given first rights, but they as usual didn't have enough $$. The managed to buy one converted boxcar snack car, an open gon and caboose 05635 and that was about it.
I recall a pic of a a stock train run to Ah! Wilderness in 1981 or 82 in Cinders & Smoke. It had a 470 and 2 or 3 stock cars and a caboose. To my knowledge, they have never turned a wheel since, although I think one got hauled to Silverton for display behind 493.
