This is the only picture I have of the finished model, taken at the convention. She is still in the box from the convention. As soon as we returned home, we now have weather nice enough to work outside. We have been too busy with track work to do much of anything else.
We have turnouts that were hand built, and brazed together similar to the fast tracks design. Of the 25 switches built, 9 are outside; of the 9 outside, all of them have braze failures. All of the 16 switches still on the shelf are held together the same as the day they were built!? Apparently the aluminum braze we are using is not holding up outdoors. We have now switched to bolting the rails together, and are in that process. It takes about an hour (or more) to reassemble each switch.
I will get more pictures, and video of the finished model once we get all the switches working.
