Per Ernie Robart, #497's first run after shopping in 1967 was on July 10.
IIRC, the tank in Antonito had been damaged by freezing during the winter - it could still be used as a "faucet" to top off a tender, but couldn't hold enough water to completely fill one tender quickly, much less two. I posted a moldy oldie not long ago of #498 & #497 passing the tank in La Jara five or six weeks after Fritz took his movie - see first pic on [
