Interesting. Much later than I had heard, even. So, now you need to find a rule book for 1920-something.....

Now I do wonder if they changed the NG at same time as standard ...?

There was no law that said they had to change marker colors at all. Wonder if there was some Santa Fe influence at the time. Maybe it was deemed necessary because of the Joint Line. Anybody know?
