Interesting that they have money to spend on the historical car fleet. I guess that could help the states see that the money is not just going to repair the same stuff, but it's also adding onto the historical aspects of the railroad by restoring new equipment.
I kind of think some additional trackage should be built in Antonito to create some public displays there. After all Colorado is forking over the money more easily, but most of the equipment remains in New Mexico. I was corrected. I thank that person.
I am happy about the statements referring to moving from "upgrade" mode to "maintenance" mode. Hopefully this should allow the cost of operating the railroad to be less. Less wear and tear on the locomotives. Less money needed to keep the track up to snuff.
This could mean the Railroad could become self sufficient in a few years or at least down to $645,000 from the two states instead of $1,645,000.
