Rememberances:
Our first trip to the Holy land was in 1975 or 6 and we made the dutiful trip to see the shops area at Alamosa and I think four engines with tenders detached were sitting in the middle of a grassy field on just enough track to hold them, actually two parallel tracks I think. Somewhere I have pictures of them that I took at the time but I was never sure what the numbers were as I didn't write them down. I asssume the 491 at Golden was the fourth one. (I suppose It could have been 486 also)
Ah fond rememberences. Of course the shops were no longer there, just the standard gauge portion of the roundhouse.
