The caboose was standard equipment on the Silverton Mixed until about 1955. The gon is probably full of coal for someone up in Silverton. Ad gon of cinders would be loaded into a drop bottom.

The entire train was painted yellow in 1955. It could be anytime between 1951-1954. 463's paint was still pretty good (it was last shopped in 1949). Some summers 463 lost the big plow.

My thinking is it a regular Silverton Mixed.
