The transition sheet is from what we can measure is 2 1/2 inches higher than the original Glenbrook boiler. The firebox section is 3 inches shorter than the original and the side firebox mounting brackets are around 3 3/4 inches higher than they should be which sets the boiler high in the frame.
These measurements are not exact but very close until we measure the Tahoe frame against the boiler now that we have them close together.
The mounting brackets and the bottom mud ring area can be mitigated. The transition sheet elevation is what it is. I can see how this would have thrown out an accurate restoration of the Glenbrook to 1875. The Tahoe will more than likely be restored between the 1910-40 period and these variations will not be that noticeable. This is the best explanation I can give for now until we do further research into this project. Thanks.
