The former Dixon replacement boiler built for the Glenbrook in 1983 has been acquired by the NCNGRR museum for the eventual restoration of the Glenbrook's sister engine the Tahoe. The boiler suffered from some design flaws that prevented it from being used to restore the Glenbrook back to its as built 1875 configuration. The Tahoe has been rebuilt several times and the design problems can be remedied and will fit the Tahoe in its current 1940's configuration.
Much thanks to the NSRM in working with us on this mutual goal to see both the Tahoe twins operational again. John Christensen
