Earl,
I always check the Discussion board when I'm home, though I've been keeping a low profile. Seems like I always say more than I should when I respond to a post.
Truth is, I plumb forgot about Mke back there on the ground when we highballed 484 out of Chama with those fishbelly flats. We were going out ahead of the daily passenger train and were running a little late, so I wanted to get some distance between us. Mike performed a minor miracle getting aboard that caboose without getting hurt. The way those foot and hand holds are laid out, it's hard enough to get on even when it's standing still. Mike--I owe you one.
