Well I'm back and thank you for the comments on this subject. I actually didn't get to do much panning on this trip but for 2hrs in the Animas river north of the Trimble bridge. The time was mostly figuring the best way of setting up my make shift sluicing equipment and finding a place using the tons of info that I have read, watched and heard about. lol the kids went swimming so I was alone which was nice cause I needed the field testing without interruptions. I checked weather reports throughout the weekend and knew that even going to Silverton was a bust and cars driving south from the pass had snow on them. I did find a speck so I thought hey I was doing something right hahaha. More weekend trips to come. Thanks again for the info and comments, I really appreciate them.
