Concerning gold panning, since the 1960s, we have gone up to Dahlonega to pan for gold. In the 1960's it was about 50 cents for a pan and last I was up it was $5.00 per pan. They show you how to pan at a flume bo

I've always found a fleck or two or three. About 6 years ago, the shovel full of dirt given to someone - they found a nugget worth about $500.00!
As reliable (I guess) as playing the lottery but the "fun" lasts a bit longer.
