I don't know, but it wouldn't be too hard to find out. I have been considering a visit to Mount Union to check out what Larry Salone has been up to at that end of the EBT, as I have relatives in central Pennsylvania (not too far away) who I was going to be seeing this summer anyway. There is supposed to be *some* 3-rail track still in place in Mount Union, but the question is how much.

That said, for a D&RGW dual-gauge idler to be useful on the EBT it would need at least one new coupler, since the EBT used 3/4 size couplers as opposed to the full-size couplers used by the Rio Grande.

But we're venturing into the land of weird counter-factual speculation here anyway...
