JB, the pair of articulateds were tried on both Atlantic & Pacific Divisions, but seem to have spent nearly all of their lives down there on the Pacific Division and then mostly on the turn between Mazatenango & Escuintla, which had some 3.3% grades. On the 16 miles of 3.6% to 3.7% of Palin Hill, they were good for 250 tons, only 50 more than a 150 series Mike with around 27,000 lbs. t.e.. Not a good comparison for a machine with over 40,000 lbs. t.e.
