This segment says Summer of 1947. I wonder if someone could pin-down a date in 1947 if thats the right date. Here are the details.
Train departs Gunnison with 495-496, stops in Sargents and drops off a baggage car and a coach. Departs eastbound with 492 at the rear ahead of the caboose. Coverage goes nearly to Marshall Pass Summit. Seems like this train should be documented someplace. It was mostly coal but had a couple of tank cars near the rear.

Extra 495 east with helper engine 496, at Sargent add helper engine 492 which ran light from Gunnison to Sargent.
