For those who have ridden the Grand Canyon Railroad and stayed at the hotels owned and operated by that operation, it is a nice destination experience.
Old school porters take care of everything for you. Once you arrive, you drop your luggage off and don't worry about anything.
I could see where this is meant to be a "premium" add-on for the D&S.
Don't know how the locals will feel about it because if I was Mr. Harper, the place is getting renovated if for no other reason than to get rid of that hideous pink.
I would divide the rooms into reasonable rates and high-end luxury rooms.
It will be interesting to see how this business deal develops and the impact it has for the railroad and the community of Silverton.
