Your not entirely correct, first all Loop equipment was stored at the CRRM free. Second, CRRM paid many thousands of dollars to use the
130 and 140 during Thomas events. I won't tell you the whole amount, but it was a lot of money.Then there was an pre-existing problem with 130 and the Museum replaced a cylinder head to the tune of $20,000.00.How about repairing and painting Tahoe and periodic work on the rider cars. Of course we were using the cars but there was nothing free about the arrangement with the equipment.The CRRM needed the equipment for the events and was glad to have them, but as I said, there was nothing free about the arrangement.I'm curious about what cars Jerry says we were given or would be, news to me. Yes, the arrangement was mutually beneficial to both sides, but there was a lot of money involved.
