In addition to performing annual winter work on our 4 operating locomotives (3 Shays and 1 Heisler), we a finishing up the long-stalled overhaul of Pacific Coast Shay #2. Here the shop crew is installing a new oak end sill on the rear of #2's tender frame. Lots of holes to be drilled here. That's one serious piece of lumber......
