Guanella (sp?) Pass is open year around. The Squaw Pass road is open year around. The Mt. Evans road to the summit from Echo Lake will not be open until the end of May at the earliest. There were years we didn't get Mt. Evans open until the 4th od July. And the top half is usually closed by the 4th week of August! My suggestion is to drive Squaw Pass on the way back to Denver as it comes out near Evergreen on the east end. JP
