I only ever pushed one train that had stalled out in the section ahead, I had sufficent power in the 2 Electrics to pull my train and push as well. Funny thing was it was a steamer that couldn't boil enough water. From what I can remember I don't think I got it going too hard anyway, well not up to the curve speed limits, probably over mcs for a Diesel.
