John, I do remember when I spent the day talking to Bob Richardson, and him saying that there were a few times that the D&RGW swore up and down that they lost money on certain things when in reality they actually made a fortune. The only conclusion that I came to was that was one of Perlman's ways, to adjust the books, to make everyone think they didn't. Wether this was true of a lot of things or just the few major milestones in abandonment history I don't know. John
