I finally got a chance to watch Greg Scholl's new video "Rio Grande Southern Memories" (after cleaning all the coal dust from the case accumulated from being in my coal filled Christmas stocking) 
A really excellent production and a must have for all RGS followers. A special thanks to Dave Grandt for making a lot of this film available.
Now here is one initial thing that caught my eye on the footage from 1948/49 with Goose # 5 (about 23:51 and continuing on the video) and screen captured below. Notice what appears to be a postal mailbox attached to roof adjacent to the headlight. Now that would make a neat addition for the Dolores boys and then get the USPS to allow a cancellation stamp so that collectors could get a postmark “onboard” the Galloping Goose...
