As of 2014 there is no regular steam operations. Also most steam that operates is on selected Sugar Mills as museum operations. I don't believe any narrow gauge lines are operating steam. Many steam Locomotives have been rounded up and moved to Havana to form future museums. Nothing has developed in organizing the museums and much of equipment sits rusting. One of last US sponsored tours were not allowed to tour facilities that were offered in the schedule. Some historic rolling stock and rail facilities are scattered about but suffering from neglect.
