Brilliant! Awesome !!
I enjoyed that very much.
Can anyone explain this constant use of the airhorns during shunting movements to me?
That antic here on NZR have earned the whistlehappy Driver a bleeding nose from the deafened Shunter on the ground. Just why the Driver after been handsignalled to stop has to blow the whistle beats me? Don't you guys know what the meaning of a handsignal is for? Maybe the guy on the ground has no confidence in the guy in the cab to actually stop and stay stopped? And tooting during ease-ups ha! Safe operation needs one hand on the throttle and one hand on the independant not playing with the hornlever.
The horn/whistle is a warning device not a toy. Premature deafness or excessive hearing loss is a major health problem with us guys.
Still shaking my head...
