Nick and the crew at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania went through the boxes of Vulcan record drawing sets this summer and fall. They cleaned up all the blue prints and are going to recatalog them this winter. They also are getting a large format scanner in January, which should assist them in making digital copies.
The record drawing sets usually have the construction number, arrangement, and name of the purchaser on the outer wrapper. The current online drawing set index is confusing as it gives a class number, that while is on the wrapper, does not agree with class numbers that were shown in Vulcan catalogs. The listing also does not give a true indication of the breadth of locomotives and gauges that are represented in the box index. Talk to Nick, as I'm sure they wrote down all of the information that was on the drawing wrappers and he probably can tell you if they have that particular drawing set or one close to it.
Both the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania and the Hagley Library have Vulcan builders photos and specificatons. Hagley seems to have some of the older photos.
