wouldn't believe it if I couldn't see it myself. It boggles the mind that they built a full-scale model to such exacting detail for use in only a relative handful of scenes shot on grainy old-time film where no great detail was required for the purpose of the movie. They went so far as to produce parts that couldn't even be seen by the audience. That this was done for such a silly, bad movie is all the more surprising. Someone working for that production must've taken it as a personal hobby.
