Here's a couple shots of the two units from back in Sept 2013. I was headed back to MSP to fly home after a fishing trip, and detoured to shoot them as they were in imminent danger of scrapping at the time.
787 is no stranger to Colorado, having done time on the Limon-Colorado Springs line as CLK 716 for some time.
I'm very surprised (and glad) that they've been saved for the time being, though I'm guessing they're moving on flats. My understanding was no alignment control couplers and some thin flanges on both units.
