The massive 315 book that George N. from the Durango Railroad Historical Society wrote and recently published, mentions that 345's boiler was pushed back quite a ways and 319's split at some of the seams. They were beyond reasonable salvage.
On a related note, the 315 book is very much worth picking up. But as my mother, who provided said volume, warned me - don't read it in bed, it may fall over on you and suffocate you as you sleep.
