The 2 engines used in the collision were removed to Pueblo and were scrapped. Only the 268 was put on display at the Wazee Market in Denver for the movie premier and was under steam while on display.
Occasional use of the Archives would go a long way to answer these recurring questions. I saw the 268 at the time while it was on display for the premier.
I briefly looked at a new book just published on narrow gauge movies that we got last week and it concentrates on the early movies, like A Ticket to Tomahawk, D&RG and Night Passage and had a number of pictures, all extremely well reproduced. I think our museum got an advance copy--I'll get some more information.
