Yes, one of the bulkhead flats was on the original equipment list for the C&TS. There were several cars on the list that did not make it to Chama. Most of these cars were located in Durango or Farmington (where the bulkhead flats were). I've always wondered if the people who selected these cars were hoping the Grande would fire an engine up, collect these cars, and run them over to Chama....
