When I dig that stuff up I will pass it along.
My father, who is listed as S. Connor Jr. on your boards hired out in 1950. He was just about a week ahead of Harley Gilleland in seniority. He tells the story of the two of them riding to Chama in the doghouse in the middle of the night, both eighteen years old, and green as the grass.
Next time I talk to him I will ask him about using two engines to Farmington. I don't remember anyone ever commenting on double heading on that branch.
I will be spending some time with Jeff this week in Denver. I will pass along your regards.
