Re: Blending Ore

February 07, 2003 02:05PM
Blending ore consisted of running more non-ore beraing rock with the ores .In later years ,most millers agreed that blending ore was the way to go . By blending ore there was little or no adjustment in milling methods nor with the amouts of reagents used , which could obviously save a bunch of money . The Idarado Mill in Pandora(Telluride) was so good at blending that the assay determinations of the ore ralerly deviated more than a half of a percent . Sampling works ? that's a head-scratcher ! Maybe the Palace Guard ,Keeper of the Flame and History Policeman can answer that for you ,John .You know who I am talking about !
